Bible Study—September 26th—November 14th
This year we will study Catholicism:
Journey of a Lifetime. This
is part of the Word on
Fire program. All are invited to attend on Wednesdays from 7:00—8:30 p.m. in Ferdinand Hall.
Young Adult Ministry - begins September 21st
New to St. Joseph Parish, this Young Adult Ministry will
meet on the third Friday of
each month beginning in September. Adults ages 21 to 40– single or married— are
most welcome! The group will meet on Fridays in the Legion Room at St. Joseph Park
from 7:00—8:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to talk with each other about living their
faith in today’s world, listen to speakers on topics relevant to where they are in their
lives, and enjoy refreshments and friendship in the newly renovated Legion Room.
RCIA - begins October 7th—March 24
All who are interested in becoming Catholic or who
are Catholic and wish to come into
the fullness of their Catholic faith by receiving Sacraments, join us for RCIA (Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults) classes. The purpose of the RCIA is to allow an adult to understand the
gift of Christ, both within themselves and through the life of the Church. During a six
month period of study and reflection, each adult who participates will be strengthened
spiritually in the teachings of the Catholic Faith. At the conclusion of this instruction, the
adult is ready to join the Church through the reception of the sacraments of Baptism,
Eucharist, and Confirmation. This takes place at the Easter Vigil service in the spring. At
St. Joseph Catholic Church there is no cost for joining the RCIA program. In addition, all are
welcome to participate, from those with no experience in the faith to those who have been catechized.
