St. Joseph Church offers Religious Education classes to students who do not attend Catholic grade schools. As Catholic parents, you have the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing your children. We, your parish, have a special role in helping you raise your children as strong, well-formed Catholic young people. We count on your child’s faithful attendance every year from Grades 1 through 8.
Our Religious Education program is active in the life of our parish and community. R.E. students coordinate food drives for the neighborhood food pantry, collect needed items for local shelters, serve as Altar Servers for the Parish, participate in Masses and special liturgical events.
Before a student can receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation, they must be enrolled in Religious Education classes for two years prior or have attended a Catholic school the year before.
RE Classes for 2023 - 2024 will again be held on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30pm, beginning in September 19, 2023. The required parent meeting is Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 5:00 pm in Ferdinand Hall.
If you would like to receive registration info in the mail, please call the rectory at 815-727-9378.

All registered, active parishioners of St. Joseph Parish are eligible for assistance.
Applications are located on the kiosk in the front entrance of Church, in the rectory or by clicking here. You may also speak directly to Fr. Tim about applying. The process is strictly confidential. Parishioners are eligible to receive up to a $500 grant within a twelve month period.
Tax deductible donations can be made to the Charitable Foundation at any time throughout the year. Please mail your donation to the rectory to Fr. TIm's attention. Thank you.
